LEAD GUITAR
Sanjeev Raman grew up in Mumbai, India. Deeply influenced by classic and progressive rock, he cut his teeth as the lead guitarist of a college band, “Idle Worship”, in whose set several Pink Floyd songs were a staple. After completing medical school in 2001, he had to put his musical interests on hold to pursue his career, and moved to the U.S. in 2003
Sanjeev has kept his musical interests alive through his training, and during his career as a Transplant Pulmonologist and faculty at the University of Utah School of Medicine since 2009. He was thrilled to find a group of like-minded people in 2023 with extensive musical experience and a similar deep interest in the music of Pink Floyd.
Along with the other musicians in Quiet Desperation, he looks forward to bringing the music of Pink Floyd to audiences in Utah and beyond in the near future.
